Lunaxi’z
Lunaxi’z: major religion of the Skolexari.
Nature-based, earth and spirit-centered, focuses on personal connection rather than formal doctrine.
This belief system is decentralized, individualistic, and spiritually flexible, making it the dominant religion among the general Skolexari population. Lunaxi’z has no temples, churches, or sacred areas. It has no leader, priest, or written word.
Believes Skolexari homeworld is sacred and divine, Skolexari should connect to their sacred earth.
Believes that the universe is interconnected, interlinked, and repeating. This is why Skolexari encounter repeating symbols even among aliens (spirals, stars, arrows, circles, infinity loop, and so on) and a variety of bipedal humanoid species.
Believe all species with pointed ears are part of the same divine force or “holy earth” and call such species Star-Seeds. It’s considered extremely bad to harm a Star-Seed, unless in self-defense. Skolexari feel a natural protective instruct towards pointed eared aliens and will take them under the empire's protection without conquering them, this is entirely due to Lunaxi’z. They believe that Skolexari, Skolexari homeworld, and Star-Seeds are part of the same divine energy, or god. This is an intense and deeply widespread belief.
Lunaxi’z believe laying on the earth is healing, some of them refuse to wear shoes and claim they feel energy from the earth moving through their feet and into their bodies. Seek nature, meditate. Believe everything returns to where it came, is recycled, repeated, and reborn.
Believe in past lives and connections with Skolexari, places on the homeworld, and Star-Seeds who they shared past lives with. Many believe they're reborn, again and again, in a group of 3. Will see their dearest friends, allies, or favorite family members as part of this 3-soul group, that they have been together before and will be together again. This creates peace and safety.
Number 3, patterns of 3, and spirals are sacred to Lunaxi'z and Skolexari. They group symbols into patterns of 3 as a divine sign, no matter what it is. This can be used to manipulate Skolexari as they see anything in groups of 3 to be a divine sign and will hesitate to harm it outright, until they're sure it's a threat.
Skolexari faith: “Way of 5s” or “Way of the 5”
A philosophical and spiritual practice established a few thousand years ago by a famous Skolexari
Paragon Jagard. Jagard was a prophet, it’s said he performed several miracles in his lifetime and some of his
visions have come true (not all).
Said there are 5 paths each Skolexari must walk in their lifetime to become whole in mind and spirit.
Glory, Holiness, Wisdom (Understanding), Truth (Knowledge, insight), God.
Glory: Skolexari warrior ideal, service to the Skolexari race, bravery, acting in a way that draws the respect
of others.
Holiness: Devotion and study of Skolexari faith Lunaxi’z.
Wisdom: Understanding which begins to develop through devotion to glory, holiness.
Truth: Truth is not simply speaking the truth, a cultural trait of most Skolexari who tend to be blunt and
forthright. Truth is remaining in a state brought on by wisdom, sharing your knowledge and insight with other
Skolexari.
The final state is “God”. God doesn’t have the same meaning to Skolexari as it may have to other species, as
they don’t see God as a singular force, spirit, or entity but as Life. Skolexari don’t believe in rebirth, afterlife,
reincarnation, any form of heaven, any form of hell. The word for God and Life in Skolexari is the same word,
Jarr.
